Frequency Dictionary of Portuguese (Anki Deck)

This deck packages the 5,000-word frequency list from Mark Davies and Ana Maria Preto-Bay’s A Frequency Dictionary of Portuguese into Anki cards. Each entry includes the word, English gloss, sample sentences, and notes on register and variety where relevant. The corpus draws on both Brazilian and European sources, so you will see both varieties represented.

It replaces older community decks that have gone offline. The trade-off is no built-in audio: pair this deck with listening input from podcasts or YouTube so your ear keeps pace with your reading vocabulary. Set your daily new-card limit to 10 and treat the first 1,000 cards as your priority band.
